I have created a style called “Body Ayatsuri” where the body is moved through strings with the puppeteer either faraway or the strings connected onto the puppeteer’s body. “Body Ayatsuri” comes from the word ito ayatsuri, which means marionette in Japanese. Ayatsuri derives from ayatsuru, which is to manipulate and or to animate. Therefore, my concept is to animate the body parts through strings that are connected onto human size body parts which are made from found materials.
